IT Technician position providing first-class IT support to employees at the Swedish Geotechnical Institute (SGI), a government agency specializing in safe and sustainable construction and land use. The role involves supporting the entire IT environment, working with colleagues within the IT unit, and handling incidents via phone, Zoom, and remote sessions.
Main requirements:
- Completed secondary education with IT/data focus or equivalent competence assessed suitable by employer.
- Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of IT systems and network structures.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
- Good social competence with ability to work both independently and in groups.
- Ability to work systematically and follow established routines.
- Positive attitude and pedagogical skills to explain IT issues to colleagues with varied backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support in all areas of the IT environment to agency staff.
- Deliver support via phone, Zoom, and remote control of computers and phones.
- Handle support tickets using the incident management system and via IT emergency phone line.
- Support Teams, IT systems and software-related questions.
- Manage virtual clients in Citrix and program installations within Citrix.
- Support Zoom and telephony including mobile applications.
- Assist with onboarding new employees.
- Order peripheral IT equipment.
Required hard skills:
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11.
- Knowledge of Office 365.
- Understanding of IT systems and network basics.
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience with Citrix.
- Knowledge of Android.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure focusing on Entra ID, Teams, and Intune.
- Experience with digital meeting technology and conference room equipment.
