Investigator PSA within Systems Engineering

Work with reactor safety for new and existing nuclear power and contribute to developing the agency's knowledge and ability to manage current safety issues to help create a radiation-safe society. Responsible for knowledge development, agency direction, and decision-making in probabilistic safety analysis (PSA).
Main requirements:
  • Master’s degree in engineering or relevant education assessed by the agency
  • Experience working with probabilistic safety analysis (PSA)
  • Good knowledge of nuclear reactors including barriers, defense in depth, safety functions, and safety analysis reports (SAR)
  • Experience in investigative or review work
  • Experience documenting and communicating results
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Investigate technical questions regarding new and existing nuclear power plants
  • Follow developments in systems engineering and plant safety nationally and internationally
  • Initiate and monitor research and agency-support projects
  • Contribute to establishing construction requirements for new nuclear power
  • Support policy, legislation, strategy, and standard development related to nuclear safety
  • Participate in international work and development of international standards
