Inspector in IT Security

A role focused on technical and administrative IT security within the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, involving oversight, guidance, investigations, and contributions to societal safety.
Main requirements:
  • Academic degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Science or equivalent experience
  • Several years of professional experience in IT security
  • Experience working with IT security in information systems related to security-sensitive activities including knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with threat, risk, and vulnerability analysis for IT systems and/or special security assessments before system deployment
  • Good knowledge of IT security in industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA)
  • Fluency in Swedish (spoken and written)
  • Good command of English
Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, plan and perform various types of IT security oversight within the Authority’s area of responsibility, individually or as part of inspection teams
  • Produce documents such as oversight plans, oversight reports, and decisions on oversight measures when applicable
  • Engage in operational development including methods, requirements gathering, regulations and guidelines
  • Conduct environmental scanning to stay updated on technology and security developments in the oversight area
  • Lead oversight efforts from planning through to decisions on oversight measures
  • Collaborate extensively across specialist fields and participate in national and international networks and groups
Required hard skills:
  • IT security technical and administrative expertise
  • Risk and vulnerability analysis
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to IT and information security
  • Understanding of IT security in ICS/SCADA systems
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience planning and following up penetration tests
  • Experience working at a governmental authority
  • Knowledge of IT security standards (ISO27000, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, IEC 62443, CIS Critical Security Controls)
  • Certifications in information and IT security
  • Knowledge of technical and administrative IT security architecture
  • Broad knowledge of security protection legislation including physical security, personnel security, information security and security agreements
  • Experience in senior or leadership roles in information security, cybersecurity, or IT security
