Infrastructure Technician – Linux & Windows

We are seeking an Infrastructure Technician with strong skills in Linux server operations and a focus on stable, secure, and future-proof IT solutions. The role involves developing, maintaining, and securing infrastructure supporting both administrative and production-related systems in a dynamic environment with Linux and Windows servers.
Main requirements:
  • Several years of experience in Linux server operations in production environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and security settings.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Nutanix as well as networking.
  • Ability to script and automate tasks.
  • Relevant education or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain, and optimize Linux and Windows servers in an on-premise environment.
  • Install and configure Linux distributions, manage network, users, firewalls, and application services.
  • Ensure logging, monitoring, backup, and redundancy systems work seamlessly; automate tasks using scripts. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
  • Install Windows servers, integrate into Active Directory environment, configure common roles (file server, WSUS, RDS, etc.).
  • Manage Group Policies, permissions, security settings, and documented change management on Windows systems.
  • Administer virtual environments using VMware and Nutanix, including lifecycle management.
  • Automate via Bash or PowerShell scripting.
  • Perform IT security tasks focusing on firewalls, patching, and rights assignment.
  • Assist in network-related troubleshooting (LAN/WLAN mainly Cisco), incident management, and 2nd line support.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects focusing on new systems, modernization, and efficiency improvements.
Required hard skills:
  • Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Windows Server administration.

  • Virtualization platforms: VMware, Nutanix.
  • Networking fundamentals, primarily Cisco.
  • Scripting: Bash and PowerShell.
