Join the Swedish Security Service (Säkerhetspolisen) as an Information Security Specialist, focusing on advisory, requirement setting, and follow-up within the whole information security domain. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills, problem solving, and active contribution to a strong security culture.
Main requirements:
  • Relevant higher education or equivalent competence as assessed by the Swedish Security Service.
  • Good knowledge of IT and information security legislation, standards, vulnerabilities, countermeasures, or information security management systems.
  • Several years of professional experience in information security and/or security protection.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Swedish.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Swedish citizenship.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and set requirements for information security.
  • Support business activities from an information security perspective in ongoing development initiatives.
  • Lead workshops and conduct risk and vulnerability analyses.
  • Contribute to systematic follow-up of information security work.
  • Actively contribute to a good security culture.
  • Develop, follow up, and manage information security management systems.
  • Work with method development, tools, and support throughout the information security domain.
  • Prepare governing documents and requirements and lead internal compliance controls.
  • Handle and provide support during information security incidents.
  • Stay updated and share knowledge on vulnerabilities, threats, and protective measures.
  • Collaborate at national level and participate in expert and working groups in information security.
  • Work onsite at the main office in Solna; travel within and outside Sweden occurs.
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of IT and information security legislation, standards, vulnerabilities, and protective measures or information security management systems.
  • Experience in information security and/or security protection.
  • Swedish and English language proficiency in both speech and writing.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Good technical understanding of IT and IT architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience in specialized areas such as large construction projects, data lakes, cloud services, IAM, or AI.
  • Information security experience within security protection field.
  • Experience in qualitative and audience-adapted communication.
  • Experience with information security work in government agencies.
  • Certifications in information and IT security.
  • Experience in business development.
