Incident Manager

We are currently seeking an Incident Manager for our IT department at the Swedish Pensions Agency. In this role, you will work both reactively by handling high-priority incidents as they arise, and proactively by continuously improving processes and routines. Our IT department comprises approximately 350 employees dedicated to a critical societal mission, fostering an inclusive and engaging culture focused on equality and sustainable work practices.
Main requirements:
  • High school education
  • Current work experience as an incident manager
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, virtualization, and networks
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the resolution of high-priority incidents, coordinating meetings with various competencies and continuously informing the organization about status
  • Collect, compile, and analyze statistics to assess adherence to incident process requirements
  • Participate in related areas such as continuity planning and other IT processes
  • Evaluate and continuously improve processes and routines
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, virtualization, networks)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
Recommended hard skills:
  • Post-secondary education in IT or technology
  • Experience working in IT-critical operations
  • Experience with IT process development
  • Operational experience such as IT technician, IT support technician, or system developer
