Partille Municipality seeks an experienced IT Architect to shape, manage, and develop a secure, modern, and sustainable IT environment. The role involves broad technical competence in IT infrastructure and understanding of organizational needs to deliver stable, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions. The architect will work strategically and technically with internal teams and external suppliers, overseeing IT solution life cycles and ensuring compliance with regulations and security requirements.
Main requirements:
  • Higher education in IT or equivalent experience recognized by the employer
  • Documented experience in IT architecture including design, management, and development of IT infrastructure and integrations
  • Experience in requirements specification, contract management and vendor coordination
  • Experience with IT governance and system management preferably in organizations with outsourced IT operations
  • Strong competencies in IT infrastructure: networks, servers, storage, cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, Google), databases, and technical platforms
  • Knowledge in information security, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance, especially in the public sector
  • Experience working in projects
  • Proficiency in Swedish, both oral and written
Responsibilities:
  • Shape, manage and further develop a secure, modern, and sustainable IT environment
  • Work closely with IT staff and act as a strategic and technical resource collaborating with business units and suppliers
  • Manage the entire IT solution lifecycle from needs analysis, design, procurement, implementation, operation, development to decommissioning
  • Support the municipality’s system management processes and contribute to technical documentation
  • Ensure IT solutions fulfill legal, internal, and security requirements
  • Create technical requirement specifications and manage technical stewardship of municipality-wide systems and platforms
  • Map, document and optimize IT infrastructure and related processes
  • Provide technical and architectural expertise in municipality digitalization initiatives
  • Coordinate and monitor contracts, deliveries, and external IT suppliers associated with shared IT services
  • Participate in or lead projects, procurements, and implementations of new systems and solutions
  • Develop and maintain structures, routines, and documentation within system management and IT governance
  • Contribute across IT team responsibilities flexibly to ensure stable and efficient IT delivery
Required hard skills:
  • IT infrastructure architecture and management
  • Network, server, storage, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Google)
  • Database and technical platforms knowledge
  • Information security and cybersecurity policies
  • Regulatory compliance in public sector (e.g., GDPR, NIS2)
