Embedded Lead Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Lead Developer to join our R&D team at Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden. The role involves designing and implementing software for our future Embedded Linux platform based on Yocto, as well as developing and distributing containerized applications on this platform. As a Lead Developer, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of embedded systems for IoT and assistant systems, collaborating nationally and internationally with stakeholders, users, and suppliers. We value initiative, strong technical leadership, and teamwork. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with final products in a dynamic and innovative environment at one of the world's largest factories for warehouse vehicles.
Main requirements:
  • Several years of experience in embedded systems focusing on Embedded Linux (Yocto).
  • Proficient programming skills in C and C++.
  • Experience with Python and CAN considered a plus.
  • Ability and habit to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong interest and understanding of technology and architecture to contribute innovative ideas.
  • High responsibility and commitment to delivering high-quality final products.
  • Good English language skills; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement software for Embedded Linux platform (Yocto).
  • Develop and distribute containerized applications on the platform.
  • Oversee the entire subsystem lifecycle from requirements to final product monitoring on customer vehicles.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including international teams, users, and suppliers.
  • Work independently and take initiative in architectural and technological decisions.
  • Lead and work together with the development team on embedded software projects.
