As a Data Protection Specialist at Region Halland, you will support the organization's units with GDPR compliance, making complex legal texts understandable, handling data protection cases, and collaborating closely with different departments. This role involves advisory, coordination, and educational responsibilities within the field of personal data protection.
Main requirements:
- University degree; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education combined with relevant work experience
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation (Data Protection Act/GDPR)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Computer literacy
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
Responsibilities:
- Support Region Halland's various operations in GDPR-related matters
- Inform, offer, conduct trainings and follow-up on educational initiatives
- Handle and investigate personal data incidents
- Register and review personal data processing activities
- Prepare data processing agreements
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
- Handle cases related to data subject rights
- Perform environmental scanning and networking
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Computer skills
