Data Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Oslo, Norway (hybrid, flexible with some remote work) starting early Fall 2025. The role involves building scalable data platforms for diverse data-driven initiatives including reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time use cases. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years of experience, strong skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and data orchestration tools, combined with a consulting mindset and commitment to collaboration and continuous learning.
Main requirements:
  • 4–6 years experience in data or platform engineering roles
  • Strong experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code tools
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure; knowledge of AWS or GCP advantageous
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, Data Factory, Dagster, or Prefect
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, Synapse Analytics, or BigQuery
  • Experience with dbt or similar technologies
  • Consulting, software development, data science, or machine learning experience is beneficial
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data platforms
  • Develop infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt
  • Automate and optimize data workflows and pipelines
  • Implement strong data governance, security, and compliance practices through metadata management and lineage
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers and cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
