Kambi Group plc is a leading B2B provider of premium sports betting services to licensed gaming operators. The company seeks an experienced Data Engineer to join Kambi's Data Platform stream to build and scale a decentralized, self-serviced data platform as part of their Data Mesh journey. The role involves shaping a modern data platform, aligning data mesh principles with scalable data products, and working closely with analytics engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
Main requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, especially AWS
  • Experience collaborating closely with analytics engineers and business users
  • Curious, collaborative, motivated to help teams use data effectively
  • Willingness to engage in technical discussions and learn new tools
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to evolving platform from traditional data warehouse to Lakehouse architecture using Iceberg, Trino, and AWS
  • Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and create robust, reusable data transformations
  • Help define and advocate for best practices in data modeling, CI/CD, and orchestration
  • Design and implement analytical data models for enabling data insights
  • Work within cross-functional teams and support business stakeholders
Required hard skills:
  • Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools
