Join Vattenfall Services Nordic AB as a Communications Engineer contributing to the development and maintenance of Sweden's energy infrastructure for a sustainable, fossil-free future. Work in a safety-focused environment with around 170 engineers specialized in communication and control equipment, performing preventive maintenance, fault correction, new constructions, and managing communication projects. This is a full-time position based in Sundsvall, Trollhättan, or Gothenburg, involving fieldwork and travel.
Main requirements:
  • Education in telecom, electrical, or power engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Several years of experience in telecommunications or power industry or specialist competence
  • Experience leading projects or independent work in the field
  • Ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
  • Valid driving license B
  • Comfortable working at heights (mast and pole climbing)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on communication equipment
  • Troubleshoot communication equipment faults
  • Rebuild and build new communication solutions
  • Ensure implementation of ongoing communication projects from start to finish
  • Participate in design, material procurement, implementation, installation, and commissioning
  • Manage supplier and contractor contacts
Required hard skills:
  • Telecommunication technologies knowledge (SDH/PDH, optical fiber, radio, IEC61850, IP networks)
  • Experience with remote control and control equipment is meritorious
  • Project management experience
  • Technical problem-solving in communication systems
