The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also administers closed youth care at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across Sweden. The role offers a challenging work environment dedicated to creating vital change in society.
This position is located at the headquarters in Solna Business Park within the Youth Care Division, responsible for client-administrative journal system KAJ, supporting the operational and IT collaboration based on SiS’ digitalization strategy and management model pm3.
Main requirements:
- Relevant higher education, e.g. systems science or social work, or equivalent knowledge acquired otherwise.
- Experience collaborating with management in public social services.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, especially LVU, LSU, LVM and SoL.
Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals for management plans together with the management group.
- Execute activities in the management plan.
- Collect operational needs and requests for system changes and conduct environmental scanning.
- Publish system operational information on SiS intranet.
- Create manuals, quick guides, and other user documentation, as well as conduct training sessions.
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (LVU, LSU, LVM, SoL).
- Experience in managing client-administrative journal systems or similar.
- Ability to support end-users daily use of the system.
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience with public administration case handling and documentation.
- Knowledge of management governance, specifically pm3.
- Experience working at SiS.
- Experience working with SiS client-administrative journal systems.
Soft skills:
- Good collaboration skills.
- Ability to take independent responsibility and drive processes forward.
- Effective planning, organizing and prioritizing work.
- Ability to deal with complex issues and communicate clearly.
- Personal suitability is highly valued.
Natural languages:
- Swedish (Proficient)
- English (Working knowledge)
Cultural skills:
- Understanding of public administration culture in Sweden.
- Experience dealing with sensitive information and confidentiality requirements.
