Design smart energy management systems supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems in rapidly evolving energy markets. Work with EMS connectivity, digital twins, IoT Edge devices, and standards-based interoperability.
Main requirements:
- Experience with embedded IoT edge systems (Linux/ARM-based) in energy management or control applications
- Knowledge of EMS, SCADA, and energy communication protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA
- Strong understanding of cyber security, data management, and modern software integration technologies
- Experience with Agile development and DevOps practices
- University degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, or related field
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design EMS architecture for BESS products
- Ensure reliable and secure communication between IoT Edge devices and EMS
- Support integration with market standards and protocols (IEC 60870-5, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to deliver high-quality energy solutions
- Architect smart energy management around IoT-connected devices for generation and storage
Required hard skills:
- Embedded systems development on Linux/ARM
- Energy management systems (EMS) and SCADA expertise
- Knowledge of IEC 60870-5, IEC 61850, DNP-3, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA protocols
- Cyber security principles and data management
