Join Ericsson AB as a Baseband Software Tester to develop and test 5G Baseband and Cloud RAN software products in a real-time constrained environment. Contribute to writing high-quality test code, maintaining legacy coverage, systemizing NR features, and driving continuous improvements while collaborating in a supportive team environment based at Stockholm Kista.
Main requirements:
  • Interest in and drive to learn software testing and integration
  • BSc level education in a technical field, MSc preferred or equivalent knowledge
  • Knowledge in NR System design and NR Node verification
  • Familiarity with NR RAN troubleshooting
  • Experience with STP management
  • Understanding of NR baseband architecture and functionality (UPC UL, UPC DL, ULPHY, DLPHY, MAC, L3)
  • Experience with radio network test tools (Viavi, FSUE, CCN, Real UE, protocol analyzers like Sanjole, Propsim, Wireshark, ITK, Autotest, MOShell, NCT)
  • Knowledge of NR RBS at block, subsystem, and node levels
  • Understanding of relevant 3GPP specifications
Responsibilities:
  • Write inventive, high quality, clean, and optimized test code for verification and continuous integration
  • Maintain and improve quality of L1 and L2 parts of Baseband product, ensuring legacy coverage in test loops
  • Systemize NR features and follow up on actual performance
  • Break down features to create feature anatomies and update system documentation accordingly
  • Write demo instructions and CPI documentation
  • Systemize multithreaded and multicore systems
  • Drive continuous improvements of products, environments, and processes
  • Ensure timely availability of test environments and tools for automation frameworks
