Backend Developer for Global Cloud Service in Linköping

TaxiCaller is looking for a skilled backend developer to increase the development pace of our mobility as a service platform.
Main requirements:
  • University or college education focused on software development.
  • Proficient programming skills in object-oriented languages, preferably Java but not mandatory.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently.
  • Experience with server programming including database connectivity.
  • Good understanding of scalability and performance, preferably with experience in transaction-intensive systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design the server-side architecture of the mobility as a service platform.
  • Implement backend solutions in close collaboration with the CTO.
  • Work with servers distributed across continents in a complex system.
  • Participate in agile Scrum development processes.
Required hard skills:
  • Object-oriented programming (preferably Java)
  • Server programming with database connection
  • MySQL database experience
  • Design and implementation of server architecture
Recommended hard skills:
  • HTML5 and JavaScript
  • PHP
  • SSL
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Redis as an in-memory data store
Soft skills:
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills to work closely with CTO and team
  • Ability to manage complex system development
