Application Specialist for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Team

We are seeking a technically driven problem solver to join our PLM team as an Application Specialist. You will support engineering and product development teams by ensuring our PLM solutions function efficiently and meet business needs. The role involves close collaboration internally and externally, supporting Aras Innovator PLM system optimization and stability, user support, incident management, and participation in maintenance projects. This is a full-time position at BAE Systems Hägglunds AB, with opportunities to work in a global and innovative defense industry company.
Main requirements:
  • Technical competency in PLM system support and optimization, preferably Aras Innovator.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across multiple internal and external contacts.
  • Academic degree in engineering, IT, or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry, especially design, product development, and model-based processes.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Server, MS SQL, .NET, performance optimizations, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel primarily within Sweden.
Responsibilities:
  • Support and troubleshoot PLM system (Aras Innovator) including incident management and user support.
  • Collaborate closely with CAD specialists, internal solution architects, maintenance leaders, and operational partners.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation.
  • Participate in maintenance projects including implementing new features and system upgrades.
  • Contribute to ensuring the PLM system is efficient, stable, and secure.
  • Work within the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department providing IT and related services to BAE Systems business units in Sweden.
Required hard skills:
  • Experience with Aras Innovator or other PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of CAD and ERP system interfaces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and MS SQL.
  • .NET framework knowledge.
  • Performance optimization techniques.
  • Testing methods and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.

  • Experience with monitoring tools and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing industry processes, especially design and product development.
