The role focuses on system management and development of balancing applications controlling the power grid, including maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, and improvements with a focus on future needs. The position involves working in agile teams with modern technologies such as Open Shift and Kafka.
Main requirements:
  • Strong service and collaboration skills due to many internal and external interfaces.
  • Analytical ability and enjoyment in solving complex problems with strategic impact.

  • Academic degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field considered relevant by Svenska kraftnät.
  • Proficient communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle incidents, problems, and troubleshooting at 2nd line support level.
  • Automate workflows and contribute to improving team methods and routines.
  • Provide support to internal and external parties.
  • Assist in technical requirements specification and develop new solutions and integrations to enhance power distribution in the Nordic region.
  • Create and maintain automated build tests, security reviews, and deployment of applications and services.
  • Coordinate and conduct various tests together with business units and security and test specialists.
Required hard skills:
  • Practical experience with programming, problem-solving, and problem analysis (especially for new graduates).
  • Technical understanding of system development and system environments.
  • Several years experience in system/application management using ITIL, PM3, or equivalent frameworks with mission-critical systems.
  • Practical experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, testing, and development of integration interfaces.
  • Practical experience with some of the following: Java or Python, XML, and SQL.
  • Documentation skills.
Recommended hard skills:
  • System integration experience, e.g., RH Fuse, JMS, or Webservices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, etc.
  • Experience with Github/Gitlab, Kubernetes, or Docker containers.
  • Experience with DevOps practices.
